“Old Guys Work Day” Last Friday of Every Month!

Any man who thinks of themselves as an official “old guy” (no matter what your chronological age) is welcome to join in an hour of light cleaning around the church from 8:30-9:30am on the last Friday of each month.  This is followed by a time of coffee, doughnuts, and the male ritual of sharing stories with a healthy dose of embellishment.  (After all, “There’s no story so good that you can’t embellish it and make it better?”)  If you can vacuum, dust, wash windows, or clean cobwebs you’re welcome to join in.  If you have any questions please call the church office between 9a-1p Mondays-Thursdays or just show up on the last Friday of each month…we’ll find something for you to do!

Healing Forward

Healing Forward

Grief Support Group

Third Tuesday of Each Month from 1:30-2:30pm

Healing Forward is an open group to those who have lost a spouse.  This is an open, informal, and self-led group to the community for anyone who has lost a spouse.  Come and enjoy the fellowship of others and share the hope which can heal and lead you forward into a new day.  Call the church with questions: 815-624-6212.

Don’t forget…The First Sunday of Every Month is Communion Sunday!

Communion in our Old Stone Church is open to all people of every age.  Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and searches for an understanding of God’s presence in their life is welcome to share in communion.  Communion is a healing sacrament through which we experience Christ in an intimate manner and which unites us fully with his presence.   We invite you to join us in sharing this sacrament on the first Sunday of each month.
